Caleta del Mojon Blanco

Beautiful super white sand beach with few people.

You can park on the crest of the hill at the side of the road or in a car park further along on the other side of the road.

You walk down to the beach from the road.

For windy days there are stone shelters or zocos to lay in. The sand is an amazing colour and so is the sea.

Swimming is fine but with caution. Stay away from the right hand side of the beach especially if there are waves breaking. On bigger surf days the waves unload most of their power further out but the white water still drains to the right, creating a rip.

Snorkelling here is very good as the inner lagoon goes a little deeper sheltering the sea life.

There are also some nice walking paths along the coast in both directions.

Location

Follow the coast road from Jameos del Agua towards Orzola. After the left curve in the road with the barriers go another 500 meters. Park on crest of hill or in car park 100 meters further on the left. Access via the paths.

Surfing

At high tide there can be some waves breaking on the sand bar. The quality varies from day to day but crowds are small and friendly
