Haria Market
Market in lovely village of Haria in the North of Lanzarote.
Haria is located in the North of Lanzarote. The town is located in a verdant valley also known as the ‘valley of a thousand palms’.
The centre of town has a very traditional feel. There is a pedestrian only area with some lovely bars and restaurants, on Saturday morning this is a souvenir and craft market.
The pedestrian only parade is tree lined giving a nice shelter from the sun whilst shopping or eating and drinking in the bars or restaurants either side.
If you have time then after the market or on another day there are some amazing walks in and around Haria. Head West and you come to the top of the dramatic Mirador del Rio with views over Famara and Graciosa on the walk above Maguez in the next valley.
Entering the town from the North you come down a steep cliff with switch back road. Closest beaches are Arrieta.
The is an unspoilt part of the island with a very relaxed and genuine atmosphere.
Haria Market
The market is found in the centre of town along a pedestrian only tree lined avenue.
It takes place on Saturday mornings from 9am to 2pm. This is a great market for souvenirs, crafts, gifts and local products. This is the real Lanzarote and you may need great practice for some Spanish, dont worry if you forget your words the locals are more than happy to help out.
