Lanzarote has a prestigious selection of beaches of many different varieties. They are truly amazing and should be seen and experienced first hand.
Beaches range from wild surf beaches with 600 meter cliff back drops, through tropical blue lagoons and black sand volcanic. There are beaches full of people and facilities to quiet secluded beaches off the beaten track. Being a small island it would be possible to take explore a few in just one day.
Each of the main three tourist resorts have some lovely beaches all featured in this guide.
Getting a hire car and going on a small adventure can lead you on some great beach discovery adventures. There are white sand beaches with very few people, clear water lagoons, black sand, amazing snorkelling and big waves. Lanzarote is not a big island and most places and beaches can be found in a short drive.
The beaches in this guide are ordered from North to South of the island in an Anti clock wise direction. The first beach is in La Graciosa, then starting at the Northern tip of Lanzaroet in Orzola and Southwards down the East Coast around the South and back up the West coast. The last beach in the guide is back up the North West coast to the wild and laid back Famara beach.
Important note: Beaches on the North and West coasts can have dangerous rips and currents. If there are large waves there can be rips, these can be very dangerous unless you know what you are doing.
If in doubt do not go over waist deep.

Below are all the beaches in Lanzarote
They are ordered from the North around the island anti clockwise
The beaches start in La Graciosa then Orzola on the Northern tip of Lanzarote then go around the island in an anti clock wise direction. The beach order carries on to the Southern most beaches in Playa Blanca and finally up the West coast to Famara.
